Trump Says Iran Would Face Complete Destruction if He Were Killed (Open Ai)
Washington: US President Donald Trump had given a very strict warning regarding Iran in a TV interview. He had said that if Iran's name comes up in any assassination plot against him, America will completely destroy it. He gave this statement during a program given to a news channel. After his statement, the already existing tension between Washington and Tehran had deepened.
In the interview, Trump had said that he had already given clear instructions to his officials. According to him, if there is any kind of attack against them and Iran's role is found in it, then the response will be very harsh. He had also said that America is not going to back down in such a situation.
This comment came at a time when Trump had publicly questioned the long rule of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei a few days ago. After this, a sharp reaction was seen from Iran. The rhetoric between the two countries had intensified and the atmosphere had become more tense.
Iran's military spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi had warned America that if any action was taken against its supreme leader, its response would be very strong. He had said that America would have to pay a heavy price for any attack and its effects would go far.
This was not the first time Trump had given such a warning. Earlier in February, while signing a government order, he had said that if Iran tried to harm him, that country would be “annihilated.” Even at that time he had claimed that he had already given instructions in this regard.
According to the US Constitution, if a president is assassinated, the vice president takes over the responsibility of the president. In Trump's case, this post would have gone to JD Vance. However, the new president is not legally bound to follow such orders given by the old president.
